how we work

Our approach

Therapy shouldn't ask you to leave parts of yourself at the door. We work with who you actually are — your culture, your family, your history — and build from there.

Read our approach

Culturally responsive

Identity isn't a footnote. We make room for culture, family expectations and the things that shaped you.

Established approaches

Psychodynamic, client-centered and attachment-based work, plus CBT, EFT and solution-focused therapy across the team, matched to what you're bringing in.

Person-centered

You set the pace. We're not here to fix you — we're here to help you understand yourself better.

questions

Frequently asked

Do you take insurance?

In Nevada, our fully licensed therapists are in network with Aetna, BCBS of Massachusetts, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Nevada, Optum/UHC and Cigna. Due to licensing requirements, our interns are only able to see out-of-pocket patients.

Can I see a therapist if I live in California?

Yes, online. California sessions are online only, with Jenn Nguyen or Monika Muy. In CA, our licensed therapists are only paneled with Magellan (BCBS). We can provide a superbill (akin to a receipt) if you are interested in using your out-of-network benefits.

What can I expect if I reach out?

You can expect to set up an initial 20–30 min consultation. We can see if we would be a good fit based on our approaches and listening perspectives, and you can ask us questions as well.

How often are sessions?

We recommend session frequency at least once a week. We may increase frequency to 2–3 times a week if we feel it would be helpful.
